Hayley Orrantia is an American performer, actress and song writer. People are most familiar with her as Erica Goldberg in the comedy television show 'The Goldbergs'. But she is primarily an avid music fan. Music is her first love she maintains; it is something she's dabbled in since she was only nine years old. At the age 12, she took music seriously enough to begin professional training. When she was 13, she started writing herself songs. The album that she first released didn't come out until 14 years later. Since then there has been no looking back. Orrantia has Hispanic origins, but was born in the USA. While she has never lived in or spoke Spanish in Mexico However, she is very proud about her Hispanic roots. Through studying Spanish and composing songs, she strives to keep the culture alive. "Hasta Verte," which she recorded in Spanish is one such attempt. Orrantia appeared on The X Factor during its inaugural season, which aired in the summer of 2011. Orrantia was selected from an YouTube video and was awarded the judges' four "yes" vote from jury at the time of live auditions in Seattle, Washington.
